Events of Arts

  • Participated in the Hengchun International Folk Song & Music Festival hosted by the Pingtung County Government. Meant to promote local culture against an international backdrop, the event gathers domestic and foreign folk musicians whose diverse performances relay their profoundest emotions for their respective homelands.
     
  • Participated in Lantern Festival festivities organized by the Tourism Bureau. Many of the lanterns are cute and fun and thus make a perfect gift to local children and foreign friends attracted by things Oriental. In Taiwan, the Lantern Festival invariably offers a happy ending to Chinese Lunar New Year festivities.
     
  • Responded to the Yuyu Yang Artistic and Educational Foundation’s call to “Erect a Mammoth Rock for History” by assisting in the publication of The Complete Works of Yuyu Yang.
     
  • Sponsored the special roadmap meant to facilitate transportation and tourism during Chinese Lunar New Year holidays printed by the Tourism Bureau.
     
  • Played host to “For Mother” concerts:
    (1)To help celebrate Mother’s Day of 2008, the E.SUN Choir and the Taiwan Brass Quintet performed in Taichung and Tainan. They were joined by pupils from Huiwen Elementary School in Taichung and those from Chongxue Elementary School during the Tainan performance. The performers played melodies enjoyed by mothers and sang of love for them, expressing the deepest gratitude of all sons and daughters for their mothers.

    (2)The E. SUN Choir and the Taiwan Brass Quintet also brought their Mother’s Day performances to Pingtung and Chiayi in 2010. Joined by pupils from Renai Elementary School and Xuanxin Elementary School in Pingtung and Chiayi respectively, they performed a good number of Taiwan’s folk melodies that sing the praises of maternity. On behalf of all the audience, they presented a humble but heartfelt ode to their mothers.

  • Sponsored Taipei Chamber Singers’ attendance at the 8th World Symposium on Choral Music hosted by IFCM as part of E. SUN’s initiative to help promote culture and the arts in the country.
     
  • Sponsored the 1st “Song of Yushan” campaign organized by Yushan National Park Headquarters. In mid-March 2010, outdoor concerts were held in the Greater Taipei area for musicians to present their works composed specifically for the occasion.
     
  • E.SUN Van Gogh VIP Nights
    E.SUN FHC reserved the National Museum of History on the evenings of January 25 and 26, 2010, and invited esteemed guests and customers to an exhibit of paintings of Vincent Van Gogh being held at the museum.

  • E.SUN Classical Music Night with the Berlin Philharmonic
    Die 12 Cellisten der Berliner Philharmoniker’is one of the most important chamber orchestras in classical music today and is an immensely popular chamber music group. E.SUN and a classical music magazine jointly held the E.SUN Night of Classical Music, bringing the world's most wonderful music to Taiwan.
